Background, etc: Ethan is an Original Character based on beyondtherift. His father is considered to be the oldest and most powerful werewolf in that world. He wanted sons to basically be his soldiers/army. When their mother found this out, she faked their deaths so she could go on the run with her children until they finally ended up in Chicago where they remained in hiding from him for over ten years. Ethan grew up in the city, surrounded by Rifts (breaks in time and universe), which brought people including his very best friend and disasters through them so he's used to universe hopping being a thing. Eventually, that world ended when it was swallowed up by these rifts, sending its inhabitants (the ones that survived) to different universes.

Ethan ended up in a world by himself during a full moon so there wasn't the chance to chain himself up. He shifted into a werewolf and being unable to control himself, he killed people. The next day, he discovered that he can't die. Rifts change the people who go through them, and the Rift had made him immortal. A very old, very powerful witch found him. He'd destroyed a portion of her woods so he agreed to work for her to pay off that debt, guarding the woods and scaring away any villagers to give the witch the privacy she sought.

I'm not sure if having a werewolf in this setting is doable, but I can work something into his history that would take the 'forced to shift during the full moon into a full blown monster' part of that away if need be. :) Just let me know.

Upon arrival in Chicago, your character will find themselves in Rogers Park on the north side of the city, with an iPhone connected to a network that only seems to allow them to contact a limited number of people. Good luck!

Also - as far as the werewolf thing is concerned, go for it. There aren't werewolves in the Caster Chronicles canon, but that doesn't mean that they can't come and play too.
