My idea for her is that, being immortal, she's survived through the ages right up to modern day. She's traveled all over the world, grown as the world has changed, but every winter she still returns to Hades in the Underworld, and not just because that was the deal. I've reimagined the myth (as others before me have done) to give Persephone agency. She chose to eat the pomegranate seeds that would keep her in the Underworld because she tired of living under the stifling protection of her mother and being thought of as nothing but sweet and pointless. In the Underworld she would be a Queen who could rule over souls, and that idea appealed to her. She was by no means ruthless, but she also wasn't the bright-eyed innocent the old myths portray her as. I was totally inspired by this poem, btw. Icon of choice:{ here } Anything else:
